Wanted to show more progress shots of how the background came together but I got carried away...it all happens very quickly....always aiming for a soupy abstract atmosphere....thought the blue would remain more...pretty happy with the spot of dull green on the right.....really hope Jake digs it....

The figure is pretty much there, pretty happy with the way the shirt came out...warm under-painting is showing through in parts which keeps it push/pulling with the cool shirt colour....still don't know what's happening with the back ground...which is a good thing...its fun to experiment....

Glazing in colour....pretty much finished the helmet in one sitting...got excited, would of taken more photos but batteries in camera died and I couldn't stop painting.

Not really sure what's happening with the background yet.

Recent commission, been wanting to do iron man for ages. After a few prelim scetches, the outline is transferred to the canvas, Jake's favorite song is Black Sabbath's 'Iron Man'...awesome. Under-painting is completed using raw sienna and raw umber , all values, don't need to worry about colour....yet...
